Q:  I compared prices on the Internet and in my home town.  How come you are so cheap?

A:

- This question is usually asked by consumers who have "shopped around" and know the going market prices for our services.   About one year before we opened our restoration service to the public we started with an idea: to make possible and affordable for the first time ever the conversion to CD of entire record collections, at prices that the average consumer can afford.  We engineered our restoration system from the ground up with a dual goal: very high quality, and very high productivity.   We purchased every piece of software on the market that could help us, we wrote our own software, developed proprietary methods and techniques (that are trade secrets) and, after months of "technical rehearsals" we released our service to the public.  We know that there are many companies out there charging 2-6 times(!!) as much as we do for the same exact services.   Those prices make it impossible for the average consumer to transfer their entire collection to CD.  We ARE genuinely dedicated to the effort of  Restoring America's Heritage, one record at a timeÔ. . .   Our service, for the first time ever, makes that possible.

Q:  I saw the price list.  How come you are so expensive?

A:

- This question is usually asked by consumers who have not "shopped around".  All the recording, restoration and remastering work is done at our studios "by hand".    There is no button labeled "RESTORATION" or "REMASTERING" we can push that will restore all recordings.  Just as the music is unique, each recording and each restoration job is unique.  The variety of music types, recording techniques, recording sources and age, mechanical or electronic defects, are factors that combine into an infinitely large number of restoration techniques.   Restoration is also a matter of taste and artistic choices.  Only a "human" can fit this job, and human time is expensive.  Handling the recordings (from unwrapping to re-wrapping) is also a job done by humans that need to be paid.  Although cheaper than people, it  takes top equipment and software to provide the technology to make the "Magic" possible.  All these ingredients combine into a top quality product, judging from the enthusiastic feedback we receive from our customers daily.

Q:  I don't want to order right now. Can I get a quote?

A:

- Certainly.  Our Order Form is also an Automatic Price Calculator.  Just go to the Order Form and try any price combinations.  You don't need to order.  You can not "mess up" anything, and you will not be charged anything.  If you don't want to send the order through just don't click on the last "Submit Order" button.  In fact when you call in we use exactly the same Web form to figure out the prices.

PLEASE READ
Important Scheduling Notice

At this time we are booked with work commitments until October 2008.  New orders placed on this Web site will be processed in the order received, beginning early October 2008.   Our Receiving Department will accept and date-stamp packages received, for processing in order in which they were received.  The packages WILL NOT be entered into our Order Tracking System until early October 2008 (please do not panic if you do not see your order in the Order Tracking System).   Email inquiries received after July 7 will be answered October 2008.  Phone support will resume at the same time.
Should we develop any available processing capacity before October 2008, we will update this message.  Please stay tuned.
Please feel free to submit orders at this time, for processing in October 2008.  Please DO NOT PLACE AN ORDER if it must be processed before October 2008.  We anticipate a heavy workload in October and November 2008.  If you have projects for Holiday Season 2008, may we suggest that you send in your order as early as possible.  Orders will be processed in the order received.  Wise customers order early

If you wonder "is it worth submitting an order now and waiting for processing in October", we think YES.  We have hundreds of loyal customers who would not think of sending their work to anyone else but to us and they think that the wait is worthwhile.  Submitting your order now, early "in line", will ensure much quicker processing in October. The closer you place the order to October, the longer the wait for order completion in October/November.
We thank you, our loyal customers and new clients, for your tremendous support!
All the best,
Cristian Coban, Ph.D.
